We are an established multi-million dollar special events production, design, and rental company located in the western suburbs of Chicago. All phases of special event design and rental is the main emphasis behind the effort in this position. You must be comfortable describing, displaying, and up-selling our products and services. Training will be provided on the family of products you will be responsible for.
We are seeking a dynamic, fun, outgoing individual to join our team as an outside sales representative. Our industry revolves around the special event industry. Our clients are looking to elevate their special event experiences by contracting with our company to utilize our production, design, and rental capabilities. Special event experience is not required but very helpful. We will fully train the right individual on industry norms.
Your responsibilities will mainly revolve around the creation and cultivation of accounts within the hospitality industry. Creativity, salesmanship, a great attitude, and the ability to be an integral part of a large special event are critical. If you wake up with a smile, this might be the position for you. must be You must be able to service customers in a polite, friendly and professional manner whether in person or on the telephone. You will assist customers with reservations, contracts, questions, register transactions and order adjustments. You can be involved with some of the biggest or coolest events that occur in the Chicago Metropolitan market. PGA golf tournaments, sporting events, weddings, etc. We have an existing customer base located throughout the Chicagoland area. You will be responsible for the account management of these clients and their venues. This will involve monthly visits, bi-weekly communication, and assistance on order procurement when they reach out to you.
You will also be responsible for new client acquisition. This will be accomplished through client referrals, corporate referrals, industry shows, and through old fashioned hard work. Opening a new venue to the company is a key and critical component to your and our success. You must have the ability to cold call on event spaces like hotels, schools, universities, country clubs, museums, banquet halls, florists, caterers, and corporations. You will be getting these potential new customers information and attempt to gain their business. The lifecycle then also includes maintenance of the account. Our company provides event specialty focused rental products and services for many types of special events, including but not limited to, social functions, fundraisers, galas, corporate sales, corporate parties, corporate product introductions, government contracting, educational facility contracting, etc.
There are currently two open positions in our company, geography being South and North. North Chicago runs North of Highway 20 and North of Highway 290 up to but not including Chicago. The South territory is south of Highway 20 and 290. Living central within these two locations is critical to your success. You must have viable transportation for activities within your territory. The company will compensate you for use of your own vehicle.
This is a salaried position that includes potential for bonuses. This position requires some weekend work as special events do occur all week. Important / large events will require your guidance / assistance.
Position structure is negotiable. A salary will be paid with a Commission pay structure. With normal growth, you should be able to earn a considerable sum for your efforts. The potential for growth in this position is tremendous as you will be starting as the main territory personnel in this area for the company.
Detailed responsibility list:
Rents equipment or arranges for provision of service to customer.
•Prepare rental forms and contract. Obtain customer signature and other required information.
•Maintain daily contract file.
•Compute charges based on rental or service rate.
•Explain rental fees and provides information about rented items, such as operation or description. Also explains damage waiver options.
•Collect deposit or payment or records credit charges by maintaining customer charge file daily and balancing daily sales receipts.
•Answer portfolio telephone and process phone orders.
•Recommend rental equipment to customers that best meets their need.
•Reserve equipment as requested and maintains rental reservation file.
•Update and call overdue list daily and alerts supervisor of overdue contracts.
•Make outgoing calls to new leads.
•Make cold calls to generate new leads.
•Maintain and update sales spreadsheet and submit to Vp, Events on weekly basis.
•Meet individual sales goals as set by the department.
•Must be a team player
•Network with other industry professionals.
•Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
•Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in store.
•Attend department and safety meetings.
•Performs other duties as requested.
This position requires 50% local travel. The other 50% is in the office. Overnights are rare. No OTR with travel is required. Home every night!
Education, Skills & Requirements:
•Must maintain a professional personal appearance.

•Computer knowledge is preferred. Training on rental software will be provided.
•Must be able to speak English clearly and write legibly. The ability to speak other languages is a plus.

•Must be able to provide, understand and complete instructions furnished in written, oral or scheduled form.

PTDrivers/Laborers/Delivery/Installers ((St Charles, IL))
PT SEASONAL Event Drivers/Delivery/Installers.
Special event company is looking for highly motivated and ambitious people for PT WEEKDAY AND WEEKEND SEASONAL positions. We are highly seasonal with heavy work beginning in May and running thru October. Some work may be available in the winter months but these positions are slated to slow down in November.
PT DRIVER and LABORER positions that are open include:
~~Friday & Saturday,1st Shift($12-14hr)
~~Friday & Saturday ,3rd Shift($12-15hr)
The jobs we take and accordingly schedules you have are random every weekend. You get put on jobs we have. Great position to earn extra income outside of your regular FT job. You have some ability to request some Saturdays off if need be as well. Friday night work happens but is rare.
You must have transportation with a valid drivers license to apply for this position as end times may vary at the end of the shift depending on the events you will be working on. Starting hours are from 6am to 9am. Ending times from 2pm to 6pm.
Seeking responsible laborers/drivers with experience driving large vans and/or straight trucks. Also seeking C-Class drivers with the ability and experience driving a 26ft box/straight truck highly desired.
Seeking responsible laborers/drivers with experience driving small 14ft box truck also used which requires no special license.
Laborers do not need any special drivers license type. Delivery drivers deliver equipment to customers and depending on the type of equipment may setup/install equipment.
